A few weeks ago I ran into Brown Rice and ordered it. I'm very glad I did. This music was recorded circa and remastered in Besides Cherry, Charlie Haden, Billy Higgins, and others are present. One of the musicians is named Ricky Cherry. I know Don has a musical daughter but this may be another child or no relation/5(42).

If Eternal Rhythm was Don Cherry's world fusion masterpiece of the '60s, then Brown Rice is its equivalent for the '70s. But where Eternal Rhythm set global influences in a free jazz framework, Brown Rice's core sound is substantially different, wedding Indian, African, and Arabic music to Miles Davis&#.
