‘Club Ninja’ actually dates from around the time that BOC founder member (and ex-drummer / vocalist) Albert Bouchard was working on his extraordinary ‘solo’ project ‘Imaginos’, a record that would eventually be released in , and credited to the original Blue Oyster Cult, with Eric Bloom and Don Roeser adding some great lead vocals/5(47).

Mar 13,  · Nevertheless, Club Ninja is, for me, one of the best Hard FM album from the 80's. The compositions are good, some progressives (Madness To The Method, Spy In The House Of The Night), some aggressives (White Flags, Beat Them Up), and some soft (Perfect Water, Dancin' In The Ruins)/5().

Blue Öyster Cult's gradual disintegration continued with Club Ninja, on which original member Allen Lanier was replaced by keyboard player Tom Zvoncheck, and several compositions from outside the band were featured, notably the Leggat Brothers' "White Flags," and a couple of generic metal exercises by Bob Halligan, who had contributed much the same sort of material to Judas Priest.
