May 01,  · This album stayed on the R&B/Soul as well as the gospel charts for almost 10 years! That is a feat that has yet to be topped by anybody in gospel today! To say that this album is a landmark is an understatement of the highest order! If you don't already have it, buy it!You won't regret it! Let the church say AMEN!!/5().

"The Power of Love" (Instrumental, singlette version) - Best Listened to by Lovers is an orchestral instrumental from Anne Dudley's arrangement recorded as part of the original Welcome to the Pleasuredome album sessions in which was used for the first part of the original "Power of Love" 12" single, with added guitars.

Recorded in five days in January in Mayfield's Curtom Sudios, the eight songs - clocking in at 33 minutes - find Franklin singing with passion and renewed energy. The production is pristine, with Franklin's vocals dominating the mix, but aptly backed by the Haywood Singers/5(98).

Love Celine, but everyone forgets that Jennifer was the original artist to have a hit (and a HUGE one at that, esp. in the U.K. and Europe) with The Power Of Love (which she co-wrote). Her version still remains the best to me, even though both Laura Branigan and Celine Dion, both whom I adore, had hit covers of the song, Celine's being a huge hit/5(62).
