Open All Nite was the first Nighthawks record I ever bought and is still my favorite. Of course, most of the rest are a close second, but this one still stands out as the best record they ever did. The production value is great and all the songs kick. Pinetop is playing on this record, too, and that's always a bonus/5(13).

When Open All Nite was first released on LP in , the Nighthawks had only been together for four years -- little did they know that they would still be together in the 21st century and would celebrate their 30th anniversary in Some young bands sound like they still have some growing and developing to do, but the Nighthawks never sound the least bit undeveloped on Open All Nite.9/

Open All Night had the unwieldy pressure of being the follow-up album to a surprise hit. The Georgia Satellites' self-titled offering, issued in , yielded the smash single "Keep Your Hands to Yourself," which was also an MTV staple for six conttuthenokadatycusruptnaphici.xyzinfo track and its accompanying video were viewed as novelties by radio and MTV, so when Open All Night appeared, the "joke" was over.7/

Nov 28,  · I, too, was randomly inspired to look this show up just now. I was 12 when it aired, so I don't know how I'd react to it now, but most of the shows I liked back then have held up reasonably well -- and I'm a pretty harsh critic/10(11).
